CONCLUDING DEBATE – Consumer Preferences
Professor John Moverley OBE will chair and introduce this forum. He will refer to a recent study of the consumption of fruit and vegetables undertaken by external consultants. With the current price pressures caused by changes in terms of food supply and unrest in global economies, what do consumers of fruit and vegetables really want? How will we balance the requirements for competitive pricing, quality and responsible supply chains?
He will then invite contributions from a number of speakers drawn from a major UK supermarket, consumer groups and including Dr. Charles Trotman from the CLA.
